Mole Removal
We also offer removal of benign, previously evaluated moles and skin lesions for patients who would like them reduced or removed for cosmetic reasons. During your consultation, Erin Alouf, FNP-BC will examine the mole or lesion and recommend the safest removal approach for your skin. Any mole that is new, changing, or has irregular borders or color is referred for a dermatology evaluation rather than treated cosmetically, to make sure nothing is missed.
Laser light treatment is appropriate for treating age spots, sun damage, and freckles on the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, legs, and feet.
Patients can expect to see a decrease in the appearance of unwanted pigment in the treated area.
Typically, only a few treatments are needed however depending on the condition, several treatments may be required to achieve desired results.
Most people experience a mild, sun-burn like sensation, possibly accompanied by some minor swelling, immediately following the treatment. This usually lasts 2 to 24 hours. Work with your provider to discuss other possible side-effects and the necessary post-treatment care.
For most patients there is no downtime, allowing you to return to your normal activities immediately after!
